It is with the deepest regrets the Mascoutah Police Department announces the passing of retired Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety Kevin Gordon. Chief Gordon served as a Cahokia Police officer from 1981 until 1993 at which time he became the Chief of the Mascoutah Police & EMS Departments. He served as Chief with Mascoutah until his retirement in 2004. Chief Gordon was currently the President of the United States Section of the International Police Association.
Chief Gordon taught for many years at the Southern Illinois Police Academy and Beck Vocational School. Chief Gordon’s passing at age 60, was sudden and unexpected. Please keep his wife Beth, their 3 children, and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.

ARRANGEMENTS
The wake and visitation will be FRIDAY JANUARY 29TH from 4 to 8pm at HOLY CHILDHOOD CHURCH at 419 East Church Street, Mascoutah, IL. 62258. Parking is available in front of the church at E. Main and Independence St. Mascoutah, IL.
There will be a visitation SATURDAY JANUARY 30TH at 9:00 am to 10 am at Holy Childhood Church 419 East Church Street Mascoutah, IL. with a Memorial Mass at 10am on SATUDAY JANUARY 30TH AT Holy Childhood Church, with burial to follow.
AT THE FAMILY’S REQUEST: ONLY A MASCOUTAH POLICE DEPARTMENT MARKED SQUAD WILL LEAD AND FOLLOW THE HURSE.
All others persons and vehicles will follow on their own to the cemetery, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Triple Lakes Rd. Dupo, IL.
